Ultrarunning World Magazine Issue 27

With the new lockdown in place, the ultrarunning calendar has taken a new blow. Most European countries have some form of restriction and the focus, at least for the next few months is going to turn us inward again and giving us the opporunity to develop our patience and perserverance to deepen and strengthen our endurance. The rise of the FKT's and virtual races continues and the new situation will encourage people to explore themselves and their environment in a new way.

Issue 27 of Ultrarunning World magazine features race reports and articles that tend to reflect this. The cover story features US ultrarunner On-sponsored Katie Schide and her partner Germaine Grainger and their adventure that forms the basis for the short video, Taming Giants, climbing, hiking and running from Cervinia, Italy, to Chamonix, France. The project took place as most of their planned events were cancelled - a familiar story.
Tyler Andrews took on an an attempt at an Everest FKT and Adam Rykala has asquired an Amateur Radio license as an altertative to his use of Garmin tracking.
Theres a rasce report from Brisbane, Australia with Jess Willis who won the River Run100 in 2020.
WInter Yoga exercises from Susan Lister at Ananta Yoga studio help us align with deeper aspects of our bodies.
The magazine is free to subscribe to and free to download, well worth checking out and there's now a mobile-friendly version of the pdf.
